Botanical Name: Mentha xpiperita
Safe for aromatic, topical, internal and oral use.
Peppermint is one of the oils that has hundreds, if not thousands of uses. It has been used to relieve headaches, sore muscles, abdominal complaints, tummy pain, to awaken, and to be used as a mood enhancer. Peppermint is considered a "hot" oil, meaning that in some sensitive people, it should be diluted. Peppermint can be used aromatically in a diffuser to lighten and uplift the mood as well as clean the environment.
Uses for Peppermint:
- At the base of the neck and the temples to relieve headaches and sore muscles.
- Place one drop into the belly button to relieve stomach upset (best to use with a carrier oil to avoid skin irritation).
This oil may cause skin sensitivity, so we've created a roller bottle that's already been diluted in organic jojoba carrier oil for safe use while maintaining therapeutic dose. The roller bottle is not intended for internal use and should only be used on people larger than 80 lbs without further dilution. If intended use is for infants or small children, please consult our Wellness Child essential oil blends or our safety sheet for proper dilution ratios.
